✨ Welcome Guide — What to Expect✨
👗 Wardrobe Tips & Ideas
Our session will be relaxed and natural.... no stiff poses.
I’ll gently guide you with prompts so we capture a mix of classic portraits and genuine expressions.
You don’t need to “perform” for the camera, your personality and natural energy are what make these images shine. These are some of my favorite photographer-tested secrets that help everyone look and feel their best on camera:
✨ Comfort = Confidence
Choose outfits that make you feel good. If you’re comfortable, it shows in your photos.
✨ Fit is Key
Clothing that’s well-fitted (not too tight, not too loose) always photographs best. Think polished, not baggy.
✨ Solid Colors Over Busy Patterns
Solid tones and soft textures keep the focus on you, not the outfit. Neutrals, jewel tones, or earthy colors work beautifully.
✨ Necklines That Shine
V-necks, scoop necks, or open collars naturally draw attention up to your face and smile.
✨ Sleeves & Layers
3/4 sleeves, cardigans, blazers, or wraps add shape and dimension in photos. Layers also let you change up your look without a full outfit change.
✨ Avoid Bulk
Thick or oversized clothing can hide your natural shape. Structured pieces (like a wrap dress or tailored jacket) flatter everyone on camera.
✨ Add a Touch of You
A favorite necklace, scarf, or earrings can make your look feel personal without overwhelming the photo.
💡 A Few Quick Tips
- If you’re unsure what to wear, feel free to send me a couple of outfit options ahead of time, I’ll help you decide before your session!
- Press or steam your clothes the night before. Wrinkles do show on camera.
- Skip logos or super busy prints, they can distract in photos.
- Don’t overthink it, the best photos happen when you’re relaxed and present.
