Thank you for choosing Becky Collazo Photography! This guide will walk you through everything you need to know to prepare for your upcoming session, from what to wear, to how to keep everyone relaxed and camera‑ready.

What to Expect

A fun, relaxed experience! I gently guide you into natural moments so your photos feel genuine and storytelling, not stiff or overly posed. Sessions typically last 30–60 minutes and are scheduled during golden hour for gorgeous soft lighting.

Wardrobe Planning

(Neutral Palette Approved!)

  • Start with Mom’s outfit first (choose something that makes you feel confident & beautiful)
  • Stick to neutrals & muted tones: cream, beige, tan, sage, dusty blue, blush, taupe
  • Mix textures (linen, lace, knits) rather than matching prints
  • Keep patterns minimal, one subtle pattern is fine, anchor others in solids

• Avoid neon colors, logos, bright white sneakers, or anything overly trendy

Outfit Tips for Each Family Member:

  • Mom: dresses or flowy skirts photograph beautifully
  • Dad: neutral chinos/jeans with layered tops (henleys, linen shirts, sweaters)

• Kids: comfortable neutral pieces with simple details (bloomers, sweaters, knits)

Dad Tips 😅

  • Promise him it’s relaxed, fast, and mostly painless
  • Encourage him to focus on interacting with the kids/you, those genuine connections make the best photos

• Empty pockets (no phones or keys in shorts)

Preparing Kids & Babies

  • Make sure everyone is fed & well‑rested
  • Bring snacks (non‑messy), wipes, and favorite small toy if needed

• Don’t stress if they are wiggly, we will play, cuddle & capture those real moments

Location Notes

  • Most locations are outdoors with natural scenery and soft light — some may involve light walking
  • Bug spray is a good idea during warmer months
  • Shoes you can walk in are recommended, and final shoes can be changed into once we arrive

Weather Plan

If Florida’s weather doesn’t cooperate, don’t worry — we’ll reschedule or work out a backup plan that keeps the magic alive.




Delivery Timeline & Editing Info

You’ll receive a proofing gallery within 2 weeks of your session to review and select your favorite images to be edited. Once selections are made, final galleries are delivered within 2–6 weeks, depending on seasonal scheduling.

I always aim to have galleries completed within 2 weeks — but I’m also a mom of 6 (yes, six!) and life sometimes throws curveballs. I appreciate your patience and understanding. ❤️
